Jordan Drakenhammar
I am a costume designer rooted in storytelling, with a varied background in theatre and visual arts, who holds an MFA in Costume Design from the University of Florida. The design aesthetic I work in is clean, architectural, and textured, with an emphasis on character and detail. I am emotionally rooted, possess strong collaborative and problem-solving skills, and am easily adaptable. When applicable, I instill humor into my designs, with the goal of making them personable and relatable. Valuing my collaboration with directors, designers, and performers is of utmost importance, as it is the foundation of my work; collaboration is the key to our goal of sharing and storytelling. I create for the performer just as much as the audience, often working with them to give emotional touch points to help strengthen the character, even if the audience will not see it.
